Streams of Quantum: Born Before the Sun

By Daniel Quantum

Dear Fellow Explorer,

We are taught to trust our eyes—
yet sight is the only sense that withers in the dark.
It leans upon the mercy of light,
and light, though dazzling, is not the whole of truth.

We are born from a place without it—
not black, but the quiet absence of light,
a womb vast as the cosmos,
where touch, taste, sound, and scent
were our first companions in the dark.

For centuries, the visible has been exalted—
the light and what we physically see
elevated to a throne.
And in that glare, extreme voices,
cloaked in the banners of faith,
have wielded light as a weapon—
both in the literal blaze of their symbols
and in the subtler, subliminal glow
that blinds more than it reveals.

Yet the spark that stirs us—
the pulse of word, the heat of presence,
the unseen current between beings—
is older than any sun.

Do not forget:
You are not just a creature of light.
You are the universe remembering itself,
in every wavelength,
seen and unseen.
And wisdom is found when all your senses—
each a path, each a teacher—
are walked with balance,
with care,
and with love.

—A fellow explorer
